Training Wheels Program

Do you want to “kick the tires” before you commit to becoming a meal delivery volunteer? Sign up for our new Training Wheels Program. You will be paired with one of our experienced staff drivers for a ride along to learn what it’s like to deliver meals.

Ride alongs will be limited to 4 people once a month, on a Wednesday, 9:00 am – 1:00 pm. The delivery time end may vary  depending on the number of stops per route. You must be 18 years or older and you must fill out a release of liability prior to participating.

All routes will begin and end at the Bud O’Shieles distribution center located at 1330 Band Road, Rosenberg, TX, 77471. Closed toe, nonslip shoes, such as tennis shoes, are required. Comfortable clothing is suggested. Afterwards, if you are interested in becoming a regular volunteer all you have to do is fill out the application and attend an official volunteer orientation!
